?? Happy Saturday??

Good morning everyone!! So, I got up early this morning because I was off last night (and could have slept in…) and went to the gym. That didn’t last long though. I brought the baby into the daycare part of it and he was screaming the entire time. This was the second time he has been in there and he did well last time. Needless to say, we were only there for about 20minutes. I did get to do weights for my whole upper body though. anyway, I did check out the Carmen Electra DVD strip tease. didn’t like it. Very boring.

Oh, well, maybe a walk later with the little guy!!

breakfast- 2 poached eggs, (148 cal) 1 slice pumpernickel toast w/ butter (78 cal)

4 large raviolis with cheese sauce w/crabmeat and baby shrimp.  780 cal. TOTAL 1006 calories. (But that is two meals- just combined). I am not going to sleep and will be sleeping through the traditional lunch time. I’ll get up around 3ish and jump on the treadmill for 1/2 hr. then eat a couple lobster claws (cuz the bodies and tails skeeve me out) that my dear hubby got for valentines. Then i will trek out to work again around 4:30pm or so.

I did well at work last night though. 1/2 small bag of lowfat all grain chip things. 1/2 a veal patty w/ american cheese to disguise the taste. too much coffee. Hopefully tonight i will do even better. I am going to pick up a fruit platter and veggie platter for tonight.

Unfortunately, food is such a social thing for our night crew. We are - however- trying to make better choices. (We all need to drop a few).

tuesday!! it’s gonna snow.

ok- it’s supposed to snow like a son of a gun tonight. so, i have to bring my stuff to work just in case i can’t get home in the morning. (which sucks.) like i really want to spend more time at work.

if i do make it home, i think i am going to try to hit the gym before i get home. i’m sure nobody will be there!!

Kick it up a Notch…

Well, last week I worked out for an hour each day on Sun, Mon, and Tues.

This week I worked out yesterday for about 30min doing an Ab DVD. Then today I took it a bit further. Primarily because I am gaining weight and need to step up to the plate a bit. So, I did 1 hr of Body Combat DVD and 30min of Yoga stretching video. I also lifted the 8lb weights for arms.

I really need to consistently do some form of workout EVERY DAY. That is how I dropped 10lbs over the summer. By doing something each day.

Wow…after a month…

See what happens when you slack off?? I don’t log on for almost a month to post anything.

And I gain 4 lbs. in one month.

So, now I am back at square one for the most part and have to start over.

New September goals- Workout 3 times per week in the mornings before i go to work…………..at the GYM…. at 6AM……… That’s what I get for being a slacker!!

Seriously, now that I am starting a NORMAL day shift job, that should be an easier feat to accomplish. No more night shift work and craving sleep all the time!!

I have to include some new activities in my routine for the fall/ winter months. Love to snowboard, but it does get expensive.

Anybody ever SNOW SHOE? Hot Yoga? Any other winter activities that you would recommend??

It’s been a rough couple weeks!

These past few weeks have apparently been bad. I gained a few pounds back… damn. Haven’t been working out regularly at all. And have been eating like crap. But now I’m back in the swing of things and hopefully will get down a few more pounds by next week. I have several job interviews next week as I am looking for a change. (If anyone knows of anything in my area, please let me know!!).

Anyway, hopefully I can have some time to sit and read through the blogs soon. My relatives that were here from over seas have gone today and my sister from VA will be here through the weekend.

Haven’t really worked out much this week, just swimming really. But I did eat healthier all week long, so I imagine that helped alot.

What a crazy day yesterday was!! Which proves, if I am busy, I don’t eat as much!!!! I helped DH in the house from 8am-8pm - grouting tile, caulking trim, painting trim, sealing grout, etc…Then ate a bit, showered, and got called in to my p/t job at the Birth Center by 9pm and was there till 7:30am this morning!

Oh, and I started dismantling the kitchen- It has to be demo-d so we can put in the new cabinets. I need to start doing Turbo Jam again!! My weight’s been stable, but no decrease. I need to step it up and start burning calories. I’ll post how I end up doing at the end of the day. I just have so much cleaning and organizing to do this week too. I have family coming from Scotland to visit for 2 weeks and our house is a disaster. For one thing, we’re in the middle of construction type work. The kitchen is getting ready to be torn out. The living room/dining room is just getting finished with Tile floor and painting. So, I have to clean the rest of the house, but have no place to put the stuff that is SUPPOSED to go in the LR/ DR/ and Kitchen!!! And Laundry Room!! If you feel like saying a quick prayer for me, feel free!

7/15 Saturday.

OK- so I have been working my ass off this week. Not literally - unfortunatly. Work has been hectic. And for some reason, haven’t been able to sleep too much. I am so over-tired. I didn’t do any working out Friday. And I can’t even remember Thursday. Oh yeah, Thursday I did Turbo Jam for 30minutes, TJ abs for 10min, and went swimming for 20minutes.

I am trying to decrease the amount of food I eat in a day. Seems I take in an aweful lot of calories.

Anyway, tonight is my last night for work then I am off till wed. (except for being “on-call”).

My work out goals for the next few days include:

  • Go to the track and jog. rn
  • Take the kids to the bike trail and ride for a few miles. rn
  • Do Turbo Jam each day for a minimum of 20minutes cardio and 10min. abs. rn
  • swim and do “water aerobics” each day that it’s nice out for a min of 20min.

Update: Snacks at work consisted of 1 Pop Tart at 200 calories, 1 small bag of plain chips for 150 calories and about 1/2 cup noodles w/ gravy and 1/2 cup broccoli.
